Beautiful Stone

When it comes to your new kitchen the stone is a large component and also a large expense, so you want to get it right.  What is right for you?  If you want low maintenance you might opt for a reconstituted stone.  This is man made and non porous so if you're the type to cook with heavy duty spices or slosh red wine around the kitchen, this could be exactly what you're looking for.  There's no need to seal this product and it lasts a life time.  With some exciting new colours to choose from you can achieve the perfect white or a flawless concrete look.

For a unique inspiring look then there really is nothing like the real thing.  A beautiful slab of granite, or marble is quite literally natures art work.   You will have to seal your bench top and clean up any spills quickly, but with due care and maintenance, your bench tops will last a lifetime and look as good as the day it was installed.

These days there's a product for just about every type of use.  Your house may play host to guests or be a rental so take a look at Dekton.  Its Scratch, heat and abrasion resistant and comes in an array of very cool colours.  The other beauty is that you can have a super thin slick benchtop.   I personally love an 12mm benchtop with a 30mm shadowline under.

Always check out the full size slab when it comes to natural stone.  They vary and choosing your slab is personal, adding to how you feel about your kitchen design.  I recommend a honed finish.  Its so soft on the eye and works well with other matt finishes selected for your dream kitchen.
